Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Dreamy I haven't been up to much lately, though I was thinking of wanting to switch from doing psychology to doing social science (behavioural studies) cause I think the social science is less exam-heavy compared to psychology, however the course fees for the social science degree is what's holding me back from wanting to transfer because the social science degree costs $16k per year compared to the psychology degree at the same institution that costs $9k per year - it's the same thing for some other institutions I've looked at too.

So I'm gonna see how that goes if I do go ahead and transfer, as well as applying for a scholarship (and then hopefully get accepted for that scholarship) to avoid having more debt that'll be left on my HECS if I decide to go ahead with the social science degree.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Blackcloud switching sounds like it's definitely something to consider especially if the exams get a bit overwhelming at times. The cost difference between the two is huge but if you can get a scholarship that would be perfect.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Dreamy looking at the criteria and the evidences I need in order to apply for this scholarship is making me overwhelmed haha so not sure how long it'll take for me to finally get a head start into preparing for this scholarship, but hopefully I won't hold it back for long even though the scholarship doesn't expire until March next year which means I still have more time to prepare it.

Anything that involves applying for something that requires me to write a statement and looking for the appropriate evidences..hahaha so overwhelming and my brain can't handle it...ahhh ADHD

speaking of ADHD I'm still yet to get it diagnosed (which I will be assessed later this month) so that means I will be receiving the official diagnosis hopefully by next month?

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Blackcloud oh sweet I can completely understand that overwhelming feeling when it comes to trying to write a statement and get everything together, but it's good you still have time to do it. I struggle cos in my head i know what i want to say but putting it on paper or typing it out is a challenge cos things don't come out right 😂

Hopefully all goes well with the assessment sweet ❤️.

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Dreamy  looks amazing 🙂

Re: Hobbies and Projects

Thanks @Sunnyside226 ☺️

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Dreamy exactly!! that's why I always find it best when I get someone else that I trust to check what I wrote to see if I'm on the right track with what I'm writing otherwise I get crazy and have to read it over and over and edit many many times till I finally 'get it right' (the latter is obviously a pain to deal with) 😂 it's even harder when I try to come up with something to write and for some reason I don't have the capacity to actually write exactly what I want to write.

so hopefully when I get to book my first appointment with a social worker soon, hopefully they'll be able to assist me with the application? at least I hope that they'll be able to do that as part of their role. I've never had a social worker before so this will be my first time having one. Have you ever had a social worker before?

Not to mention, I have an exam for one of the units I'm doing this trimester that's gonna be next Friday. I've done the practice exam and it wasn't too bad - I got somewhere in the 50s for that one. Hopefully I might get the same for the actual one, but even if i get a bit lower than 50% (hopefully somewhere in the 30s or 40s) it'll be okay cause at least I'll still pass the unit. 🙂

Re: Hobbies and Projects

@Blackcloud oh I hear you. This is why I'm slow to reply to big posts here cos I have to read and reread things over and over again 😂.

I hope they can help you with that, I've had social workers but in a different capacity but I'm sure it's something they would be able to support you with ☺️.

It's great that you can do a practice exam and I'm sure you will do amazing when the real one comes around ❤️
