I have trust issues too!

I am trying to work on it with my psychologist.

Not sure it is helping.

My psychiatrist just left the clinic, and I am freaking out about having to work with a new one.

It might take me a while to work out if I can trust them or not

@Oaktree yes it's not easy to lose someone you trust and have worked with for a long time. It might depend on the quality of the handover... a good and thorough handover might go a long way towards helping the relationship off to a good start with good will on both sides. Hopefully it will work out for you.

My psychiatrist is semi retired so I'm not sure how much longer I'll have with him.

The clinic have not yet recruited a permanent replacement psychiatrist, so I will be seeing a locum at first. I am not sure how it will go. I am trying not to have a bad attitude about it.

I don't think feeling apprehensive counts as a bad attitude @Oaktree . It's perfectly understandable.  Is there continuity in other ways with the rest of your team?

Yes the rest of my team remains unchanged, so that is good. 

I really don't like change too much but change is constant, so I had better get used to it, I guess.

I hope that your psychiatrist doesn't retire too soon.

I haven’t really managed to slow down much @AuntGlow. I keep pushing myself. I did allow myself a nothing day one day. But it’s just because I was so exhausted from pushing.

@AuntGlow I've been working on taking a moment for myself after getting home from work. Generally this involves sitting by the fire and having a hot drink in the quiet space of my own home.

 

I haven't achieved this as an every day thing, but I have enjoyed it on the days where I've done it. I also enjoyed a slower start to the morning yesterday...a bit of a sleep in, coffee in bed, no rush, no need to be anywhere. 

 

I have three appointments after work this week, so I have to figure out a way to incorporate this into my days.

Well I did nothing for last weekend and Monday through to Wednesday. Then it was back to Tafe Thursday and Friday. I paid for it this weekend. I had to do two assignments yesterday and did most of another one today. I still have things to do for tafe on this Thursday so there is no end in sight for now. Also my support worker and psychologist are back on deck this week so Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will also go back to being busy.
