Oh it’s a bad cat habit bringing in mice and rats especially when they’re still alive @TAB . My cat does that sometimes but lately has taken to leaving dead ones by my front door. She has settled down inside since about 11.30am. What’s on the agenda for today? Hope your back is ok and your tooth too.

I’m getting a bit nervous about the surgery @Meowmy . Will be hard fasting from 9am and worse I’m not supposed to smoke! I’ll be anxious I expect so not smoking is a big ask. I’ll have to pretend I’m on a long haul flight. I know I can do it but it is oh so hard. I’m totally addicted. The morning and just before leaving will be the worse times. Will have to hide smokes or something.

Totally get the reasoning behind fasting and nor smoking pre-surgery, but it's SOOO HAD. Every second, every minute and hour seems to be an eternity. 

I went to the hospital 2 hours before my actual admission time to escape the tortuous temptation. I really get how you feel. 

I hope your surgery and recovery goes well.

Is that Port Pirie you're referring to?

I was born in the SA mid-north so am reasonably familiar with the area although I'm a totally city girl now.

Still have cousins all over the place but remain city bound. Would actually love to live in the CBD here.

Was close to it when living in Melbourne and loved being close to everything and, of course, just a tram away from anywhere I wanted to go.

Thank you @Taali . I’m having cataract surgery first eye Thursday, 2nd eye 2 July. Also got a post op appt Friday this week. They haven’t given me a post op appt date for the 2nd eye so who knows???  The procedure only takes about 15 minutes or so. I’m nervous about them giving me an injection near my eye if they do. Not sure how I’ll sleep the night before. Want to

watch my footy team play the night of surgery if I can stay awake. Might be very hungry and tired afterwards. Fasting all day

with my rapid metabolism will be hard

too.
