If you don't go, you can relax at home. But you don't see your son.
I understand how hard it is. I spent most of my life doing things I didn't want to because my mother said I would do what she wanted me to do. Even now I feel guilty if I change my mind. I was scared to disappoint her but I always ended up doing things that she wanted and not what made me happy. Now I tell her that I will see how I feel and she is finally accepting of my decision. It took me turning 50 to realise I didn't want to do what she always wanted me to.
