Re: Coping with negative/suicidal thoughts.

It is important to be able to read the level of commitment a professional has towards us.  @Former-Member comment that her GP means well but is forgetful and over worked is probably applies to quite a few. ... it is only through engaging that we can tell ...

I used to make myself endure negative feeling situations ... I just kept making excuses for the other person ... family or professional ... and I didnt have any sense that I was worthy of good attention or to relax enough to know what that felt like and to be able to take it in ... the last 10 years have slowly changed that ... as I am making new health system contacts I am reading and hoping that I get what I need and can learn to ask for what I need.  All that therapy has to be worth something.

Re: Coping with negative/suicidal thoughts.

Having my first waves of suicidal thoughts in a long time. Why? Frightens mw a bit since i've given in to tbem before, made a train wrevk if my life, impossible to recover from, fully. Guess its the anxiety surrouding the thoughts that give it / them momentum... Hard this 'being the OBSERVER' only. Maybe juat tired.

Re: Coping with negative/suicidal thoughts.

sitting with you @Former-Member - a hard place to be with those thoughts. Do you have a plan for what to do when it gets worrisome for your safety? like crisis lines/gp appt or? look after you

@Former-Member please keep safe and reach out for help for yourself if it gets to much. Sitting with you too 💕

Re: Coping with negative/suicidal thoughts.

Hi @Former-Member,  @Ant7@outlander, not good @ reaching oout,

No plan,  either way,  none others than the pictures in my head,  no date - the fixed date seems to be the huge alarm bell,  but then again - more spontaneous than that, but certainly not while someone depends on meeee. But thoughts Gone this AM, just tired,  maybe lonely / isolated - emotionally.

Re: Coping with negative/suicidal thoughts.

Hugs @Former-Member - glad that you are a little better this morning. It is reallly hard to reach out, something i struggle with too. Sometimes having people who needs us is the biggest protector. Have you got some rest planned for today?
