Re: My Mosaic

I just read your post above re India. Which part did you go?

I'm going again at the end of this year. To mumbai, Hyderabad. This time the kids are going. I hope they don't get sick!

Re: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

We were in Tamil Nadu, flew into Chennai, took a train down to Madurai and then went up into some hills, no idea where, went in a van which had zero ac and broke down at one point.

I got really sick while there @tyme  nearly ended up in hospital.

Re: My Mosaic

There is a version of mahjong called mahjong king @tyme  thats what we want to play. I got some wooden blanks from bunnings and got the jigsaw out and cut 2cm tiles. They aren’t perfect, but gave them a sand and they will do. Need a coat of paint. And then I have made tile faces with my cricut to stick on the tiles. I’ve made 103 tiles. Will try remember to take a photo.

Re: My Mosaic

Cool! I have no idea about mahjong except they are little blocks that make noises on the table when people play. Do you need to know how to read the symbols? @Bow

That's one thing about india. I don't want the kids getting sick. I didn't get sick there. But then again, I didn't eat or drink their food/water. I got my own from australia lol, or I only ate food at the hotel I was staying at.

The culture there is amazing though~

Re: My Mosaic

Nah not worrying about the symbols, I’ve made completely different ones. Heaps of different ones I’ve seen people playing online @tyme

yeah we had to be super careful too, but i obviously slipped up somewhere.

Re: My Mosaic

And i'm thinking that if an Aussie ends up in hospital over there....hrmmm... I won't say it. @Bow

Did you have insurance?

Re: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

I have 3 vaccinations I have to get before I go again @Bow .

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah we had to get a lot of vaccinations @tyme and took malaria tablets while there.

it was actually a church trip. We did a few open air crusaded, that was pretty amazing just to see, let alone to be apart of. Did some work at an orphanage. Visited churches, youth meetings, attended and help officiate the opening of a pharmacy (random I know), visited people at their homes, lotsa ministry. I shared my testimony and had it translated as I went.
