Re: My Mosaic

They are indeed @Eve7

Not much tomorrow @Snowie  my SW did say yesterday that she would do a home visit tomorrow. She also said yesterday she would do one today, but she still texted me and asked what I was doing today and that she’d like to do a home visit. She’s a bit forgetful.
mum doesn’t fly in until 3pm and then another hr on the train. So I’m gonna guess around 5-5:30pm pick up at the station. It’s annoying… cause the airport station is privately owned, so instead of $2 cap for a pensioner, it costs something like $18 I think the last we used it. It’s crazy. I use to drive in and pick up from the airport, it’s only 35mins-ish on a good run. There was one toll, which is included in the cash back scheme. So you got it all back. But they did all this road work recently and added new tolls and it costs something like $25 return… and that doesn’t included the toll cashback. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They build these roads to encourage people to get off the other roads that clog everything up, but then it costs a fortune. My best friend and old pastors travel to a church on the other side of the harbor now and it costs them $50 return each Sunday.  Anyways with those tolls plus fuel, you can catch the train sorry mum!

but I wanna vacuum and tidy up a little.

you got much on tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

Well I hope your SW does another home visit tomorrow @Bow

I understand about the tolls. We have them on some roads too. They do them up and then place tolls on them. They have almost finished upgrading the roads from out our way, but they are going to be tolled. Luckily we don't go into the city much and just try and avoid those roads. I don't know how people afford to use those roads everyday.

I would be saying the same to my mum. Pick you up at the station.

Tomorrow mums coming home and we are going through a lot of her things. Make piles to keep, to donate, to throw away. It will take more than a day but at least it's a start. Not looking forward to it but we have to do it at some stage. She's still got clothes from my dad who passed away over 10 years ago.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh gosh that’s gonna be a huge job @Snowie  and I can only imagine how difficult it will be…. for both you and your mum.

Re: My Mosaic

yeah huge job @Bow but has to be done.

I guess the sooner we get it done, the better.

Somethings I'll keep. We have a few family things that have been passed down.

Hoping she wants to donate a lot
