I'm wondering if anyone suffering PTSD, anxiety,  depression has experience with using Chinese medicines as opposed to traditional clinical medications, and is it effective?

Can’t say I have @bdl . Never even heard of it. Have you asked your GP about it? I don’t think I could stand the smell of Chinese medicine. As a kid, I’d walk past the shops which sell Chinese medicine and just hold my breath.

Definitely worth researching and asking your doc. Probably not a good idea to mix western and eastern meds???
