Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

HAPPY SUNDAY, FORUMS FRIENDS 💛

Given that we are well and truly into Winter, I would like to take a new approach with our intention-setting tonight.

This week, I would love it if we could all focus on exploring an intention that includes slowing down.

Maybe this looks like more rest or downtime, a gentle yoga or meditation practice, reading, walking in nature, or listening to music - anything that allows us to pause and simply be.

I know this is much easier said than done when our brains are busy, but remember, you're allowed to make this whatever you'd like it to be - there are no rules (just suggestions!). Whatever you choose, I encourage you to invite some softness and ease into your intention this week.

As for me, my goal is to literally slow down all of my activities and see how my body feels - I tend to race through things and wonder why I become so easily overstimulated! So, I am curious to see what happens if I am more gentle with myself. 🥰

Looking forward to hearing your intentions, @Till23 @Bow @Blackcloud @Sunnyside226 @RiverSeal @avant-garde @Oaktree @Captain24 @MissinTooth @tyme @Dimity @Shaz51 @The-red-centaur @Appleblossom @starsmile @Cuddlebear @MDT @PeppiPatty @Jacques @ENKELI @Glisten @lonemushroom @Junie @MotherDuck @Jynx @Ru-bee @rav3n @Snowie @creative_writer @Sparky79

Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

@AuntGlow I have a big week coming up and a big assignment due at the end of this week, and I have to hand it in early because I have my Grandfather's 90th birthday celebration on the day it's due.

Slowing down seems counterproductive, which is why, it's probably a good thing to focus on.

So, my intention is to take some time each afternoon/evening when I get home from work to stop. This means, sitting in front of the fire with a cuppa or some kind of hot drink and actually just being in that moment for twenty minutes to half an hour or however long it takes to finish my drink. After that, I can get stuck into my assignment.

Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

Hello @MissinTooth, I just wanted to check in and see how you're going with your intention to slow down with a cuppa after work? What's come up for you and how has this process felt?

I am wishing you all the best with your assignment. I know how hard you have been working, so I have no doubt you will absolutely smash it.

PS: When is grandpa's birthday?! 🤩

Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

Hi @AuntGlow I realised that I've only done this once this week and that was Monday. It felt good to do and served as a divider between work and home/study time, but it's proven harder to do, or to remember to do, when things are busier.

Thank you for your wishes re the assignment. I feel like there's a lot of pressure on this weekend, and it's making me feel a bit...overwhelmed maybe.

Grandad's birthday is on Sunday, which is the day my assignment is due.

Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

Oh, I totally get that! Good on you for remembering on Monday though. Could it be a good way to unwind today? @MissinTooth

It's completely understandable that you would be feeling this way... what might help with this overwhelm?

Are you looking forward to his birthday?

(Also, feel free to message back on your thread! 💛)

Re: ✨Sunday Intention Setting✨

@AuntGlow I need to reflect on how to allow myself that intentional kindly pause.  It might start with breath work and a letting go of fear and tension. I'm not sure what comes next.
