Re: My Mosaic

Not too many at the moment @Snowie  i think I’ve done all the ones that have been paid for. I hate asking, but I really do need to ask people to pay up front before I start. The amount of pieces that I have done and then been ghosted! Especially if it is a custom pieces and I wouldn’t be able to sell.
I had a lady contactme via FB market place, wanted 5 pieces, said she would pay last night and didn’t. I did the writing for them yesterday but not going to do anymore until she pays.

My big nativity piece that I finished yesterday is going to a lovely friend in Alice Springs. Her hubby contacted me without her knowing and is buying it for her. Had to go and cut up a box in the garage cause it’s too big for my usual postage boxes. So I’m in the process of making a couple more of them cause a local lady from church wants one too.

we have a few more markets before we go away.

yep we are all getting excited. We fly out on the 18th December. 43 days! We have most things organised, but we have a heap of stuff around the house to do so it’s neat and tidy for our house sitters.
Our sitters are a young German couple. They are lovely. I want to put together a little Christmas stocking for them. Trying to think of some small aussie themed items. Think I’ll get like a pair of aussie socks. An Aussie themed Christmas decoration, hopefully with the year on it… or maybe I’ll just paint something 🙂

what time is the cup?? I always miss it!

Re: My Mosaic

I don't think asking for payment up front is wrong @Bow You put a lot of time and effort into all your pieces. The very least people can do is pay you before you start, especially when they are custom pieces.

I'm sure your friend will love what you have created for her, especially if it is a surprise. What a good hubby knowing what she likes!

Not long then before you go away. Must feel so far away but at the same time so close. It does sound exciting, I hope you have an amazing time. You deserve it.

I'm glad you found a couple to house sit for you. At least it is one thing you don't have to worry about whilst you are away, that everything will be safe and sound.

The cup is at 3pm. I do watch it but have no clue about horse racing!

Re: My Mosaic

Doh! I forgot the race @Snowie !  I remembered at 2:50 and then again at 3:35 when it was over!

I got a headache. So am laying in bed.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I'm sure they will replay the important parts on the news tonight if you really want to see it!!

Bed sounds like a good place to be if you've got a headache. Can you take something for it?

Re: My Mosaic

Took some painkillers for my headache which had helped. Think it’s cause I haven’t drank enough/ reduced my intake a bit the last couple of days. It’s a struggle. Got a real need to control things with everything else going on.

But did email my dietitian today. My SW has been nagging me to do something. Last appointment my dietitian mentioned the risk of refeeding when overseas, so my SW has been really encouraging me to increase my intake before I go to reduce that risk. I got no idea where to start… not that I wanna start at all. But I emailed her to ask for some ideas.

tomorrow is Wednesday. I have my usual art group 11-2. But my psychologist is only available to see me tomorrow at 11am. I don’t wanna go. I’m also suppose to see my CM back there at 2:30pm. Don’t wanna go to that either. I don’t know what to do???

Re: My Mosaic

You emailed your dietician @Bow That there is a big step forward. I hope she has some ideas that can help hon.

Thats a tough decision, choosing between your art group and your psych. I know how much you like your art group and how much it has helped you.
