Re: My Mosaic

Just very much at capacity at the moment @Jynx

mum can make set up stressful most weeks. Which makes me stressed and annoys me.
And then if she’s in a mood and grumpy it puts a whole lot more pressure and responsibility on me. Serving people. Talking.
The heat.

My daughter.

i just don’t got much to give. Rough week and I just wanna hide

Re: My Mosaic

Do you reckon it's worth flagging this with your mum so she's less likely to delegate you tasks @Bow ?

Oh no does your D take a lot of looking after on market day?

Re: My Mosaic

I do the majority of the heavy lifting labor tasks @Jynx  always have. I think we sometimes just get flustered and grumpy. And with mum getting older she just can’t do as much. Just is what it is. It’s just her grumpiness/ stress/ anxiety that then sets me off. I keep telling her to just breathe. We have been doing this for years. We can manage it fine. Anyways.

not too much. Just the ‘I’m bored’, ‘I’m hungry’. And she could help a bit more but chooses not to. We both offer to pay her, but no.

even though I had a rough week, I threw myself into creating. I withdrew a lot and locked myself in my dungeon and I made 48 pieces of framed art to sell. Plus a heap of polymer clay bears and trialed some polymer clay worry stones.

Re: My Mosaic

That's tough @Bow - definitely trickier to manage when the brain fog this thick. I hope it goes as smoothly as circumstances allow 😅

Wooooaaaaah sounds like a lot of creative flow was happening for you! I do love me a worry-stone, how are you doing them in clay?

I will also just say nighty night - we can chat more art tomorrow evening, if you're not too spent haha. Toooodles! 💜

Re: My Mosaic

@Jynx  The worry stones I’ve made have like a thumb indent on one side so you can rub ya thumb back and forth and such and then on the other side is a swirly indent pattern that you can also play with.
This was my first attempt at them, not going to do white… it discolours just making them. Need to figure out how to smooth out my thumb print!
My D loves it too.

Re: My Mosaic

omg! @Bow this is an amazing idea! I would absolutely buy one - especially if it was like, differenty colours all swirled together! Although the fact that it looks like a catseye shell is really cool, was that intentional? These lil guys, find em on the beach all the time:

You could also massage shimmery mica powder into the clay to make it shiny!

You're so creative I always love your ideas 😍

How'd market go?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Jynx !

I wanna make a heap and sell at market, but I’d also like to make some and leave at the place my SW is from.

yes will indeed be making multi coloured ones like these bears. There is a gold that I mix in and it looks really pretty

was driving out to market this morning and thought it would be quiet, they said there was a few regular stall holders away, it’s a long weekend and it’s the school holidays. But it was busy. Lovely sunny day. I did ok. Mum did really well. She started selling her Christmas stock today.

how r u?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow aww that is sooo wholesome! Honestly every sensory kit needs one hehe. I love that they're becoming more normalised, but they often seem to have the same basic 5 sensory toys - ones I don't like 🤣

Aww love the bears. And that's great to hear!! Sounds like it went better than expected on all fronts hehe.

I am not too shabby, caught some sun this morning, managed to scoot to the chemist, and now chillin in my summery comfy pants I have finally been able to bust out!

Re: My Mosaic

I like them @Jynx  cause they can be very discrete.

im super tired. Was just laying on the couch and I’ve just got up…. Kept nearly falling asleep. 5:30 is not a nice time to get up!

its definitely a sunny day! Glad you got some sun this morning.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow my spinny chains are very not discrete lol so having a nice quiet option is something I've been looking for!

Ew, yeah see why are there no 'lazy arvo' markets!! It's always a-crack of dawn, or late night lol

Up to much this evening hun?
